Diamonds: Threat or Menace?!

With the aid of slick Madison Avenue types, the Diamond Industrial Complex [AUTHOR'S NOTE: some folks objected to the acronym I introduced here, so throughout this post I have substituted the word "thing"] has bamboozled the world into thinking that diamonds are rare and precious "must-have" commodities, even though in reality they have more diamonds than with which they know what to do!

That's why they keep coming up with all these crazy new inventions, like

jewelry            drill bits         a bunch of other diamond-y things!

And that's why they keep the Valentine's Day Marketing Conspiracy alive...

Guys: if your gal really loves you, she'll love you even more for caring enough to teach her all about the "thing"!  It might be hard at first, but soon she'll come to appreciate you, even thank you for opening her eyes to the big menace of the "thing"...

Really, wouldn't she be better off with a useful small appliance, or a new top of the line gaming system, or, if she's really something special, the biggest plasma TV on the market?

She'll thank you later once you expose that huge "thing"!

Gals: don't let that nasty "thing" get the better of you!  Think about it, and ask for a gal's REAL best friend, like an electric toothbrush or a pearl necklace or something...
