MiracleMan was basically created as an English "homage" to the Fawcett comics version of Captain Marvel when legal issues forced the cancellation of that title.
In the 1980s, Alan Moore revamped the character with several artists. Due to complicated legal issues, MiracleMan has been out of print for approximately two decades.
